Simon was born in Wales, grew up in Peru, and served as a full-time missionary in Tanzania and Kenya. Simon is married to Ruth and they have 3 grown-up children and 3 grand-daughters. After training at the London School of Theology, Simon and Ruth moved from London to Hove in September 2015.
